Tourist Attractions and Places to Visit in Pushkar

Pushkar Lake

Sacred Pushkar Lake is described as ‘Tirtha Raj’, means the king of all pilgrimage sites according to holy books of Hindu. It believes that without taking a dip in the holy lake of Pushkar your visit to other pilgrimage sites will be considered incomplete. The lake has a semi-circular shape and is surrounded by 52 bathing ghats and more than 400 temples.

Brahma Temple

It is the only temple in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma is known as the lord of creations. Located about 200 meters away from the Pushkar lake this temple is the most important tourist attraction of Pushkar. It was built around 2000 years back.

Gurudwara Singh Sabha

Gurudwara Singh Sabha Ji is situated on the eastern side of Pushkar. It was built at the beginning of the 19th century. It was built in the remembrance of visits of the first Guru Shri Nanak Dev Ji and tenth Guru Shri Govind Singh Ji.

Varaha Temple

Varaha temple is dedicated to the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu - Varaha (the Boar). It is the most ancient temple of Pushkar, Images of lord Vishnu in the incarnation of wild boar is available in the temple.

Savitri Temple

This temple is dedicated to lo Lord Brahma's wife Goddess Savitri. Situated on a top of Ratnagiri hills it gives a spectacular view of city and Pushkar lake. Its spiritual significance attracts many devotees globally.

Rangji Temple

Rangji temple is one of the very famous temples of Rajasthan in Pushkar. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu's for his incarnation as Lord Rangji. There are idols of other gods available in the temple like Goddamaji, Goddess Laxmi, Lord Krishna, and Shri Ramanujacharya.

Atmateshwar Temple

It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated next to the Brahma Ji temple. Considered as the most sacred, this temple houses a Shiv-ling surrounded by snakes made of cooper. Devotees believe that it is sinking deeper into the earth over the years. The original temple was destroyed by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
